I have comprehensive experience with all aspects of retail store operation, from new store creation to existing store optimization.

About Me

I have been in museum retail for over 20 years and a leader in the Museum Store Association serving my chapter as president twice. I love everything about museums and museum stores but my true passion lies in helping a customer find just the perfect gift or telling the story of why certain merchandise was chosen and how it relates to the collection or mission of the organization.  I love and believe in superb customer service and connecting with people.

"As a member of the Chickasaw Nation, I believe that helping museums acknowledge the Native American tribal land that museums occupy or inhabit is a crucial step towards fostering cultural understanding and reconciliation.

Museums play a significant role in preserving and presenting the history and heritage of a variety of communities, including indigenous peoples.

Recognizing and publicly acknowledging the specific tribal lands on which museums are situated is a gesture of respect and a means to educate the public about the historical and ongoing presence of Native American communities.

This practice not only honors the rich cultural heritage of indigenous peoples but also encourages dialogue and collaboration between museums and the tribal nations, promoting a more inclusive and accurate representation of Native American history and culture within the museum setting.

Such efforts contribute to the broader goal of promoting awareness, respect, and appreciation for the diverse histories and experiences of Native American communities."

Jin Jo

 Susan Tudor

Museum Store Association President

Jin is one colleague who uniquely stands out. I was immediately impressed with her knowledge of retail management, merchandise planning, and product development which far exceeds that of many of her peers. Jin is a joy to work with because of her amazingly positive attitude and can do spirit!

Michael Mares

Past Director Emeritus, Oklahoma Museum of Natural History

Under Jin's direction, the museum store sales increased tenfold. She is a human dynamo of energy and ideas. She does not ruminate about what should be done; she does it. She has won several performance awards at OU, both for her store and for her own accomplishments. She is the ultimate can-do personality.

Jin is one of the most influential people I have ever met. Her sales ability and eye for great merchandise is impeccable. I cannot recommend her highly enough!!

I cannot even begin to express my gratitude for Jin Jo Museum Consulting and what she has helped us accomplish for our retail store in a very short amount of time!  Jin assisted us in obtaining unique products that are flying off of the shelves.  Our increased retail revenue is a direct reflection of us working with Jin Jo Museum Consulting.  She has been a life-saver for our institution!
